Experience of Prospect to Active Franchisee

Steve Dixon – Animals at Home Mid Kent

I found the AAH web site interesting and informative enough to ensure I added this franchise to my short list. My initial contact with AHH was responded to quickly and in a friendly manner. I received the prospectus in the post within the time stated. (This was not my experience of other pet/animal related franchisors and I am, to this day still waiting for one to come back to me even though I requested details twice.) The prospectus contained enough information for me to make the decision to take this to the next stage which was my meeting with Ann. The meeting with Ann was informal but professional and very informative. Again, this positive experience gave me the confidence to progress the opportunity. At no time was I harassed or put under any pressure by AAH.

My trip overseas (IOW) to meet Denis was a very enjoyable and relaxed day. After this I felt able to discuss the business in detail with my wife, friends and family and this in turn led to me deciding to proceed. The three days spent at the Veterinarian practice was fascinating and informative. It was pleasure to spend time amongst such dedicated professionals. The two day on territory training with Iain was invaluable. Iain has huge amounts of information, enthusiasm and experience to share. The days were well planned and we covered an enormous amount. Having Iain with me to complete my first visits to Vets was a great confidence builder. I have been able to use his style of initial approach and presentation of AAH on subsequent solo visits.

Gillian Milton – Animals at Home West Sussex

My first encounter with Animals At Home was through my local franchisee in East Sussex. I was impressed by the level of care and service I experienced for my own animals which carried on through into my first meeting and subsequent training. Animals At Home is a tried and tested total business package which I’ve had full confidence in right from the beginning. Every step has been well thought through from the initial prospectus pack to the training received at the vets and all the management team are approachable and human! The support network has made my Animals At Home start up easy with the emphasis on taking it at your own pace, this is a marathon not a sprint.
